Pappy & Company teamed up with Good Folks Coffee in Louisville to age 100% Arabica beans in retired Pappy Van Winkle bourbon barrels — and it shows. You get smooth, rich, full-bodied coffee with just the right hit of bourbon aroma. No flavoring. No gimmicks. Just good coffee, made better by time in a barrel.

Details

12 oz bag of whole bean coffee, roasted in small batches by Good Folks Coffee in Louisville, KY.

The beans are aged in freshly emptied Pappy Van Winkle bourbon barrels, absorbing deep caramel, oak, and vanilla notes before being roasted. The result is a clean, low-acidity cup that’s complex without being overpowering.

Serve it hot, cold, or as the base of your next bourbon coffee cocktail.

Why We Love It

We’ve tried a lot of barrel-aged coffee. Most of it tastes like someone waved a whiskey bottle near the beans and called it a day. This isn’t that.

This coffee actually smells like bourbon when you open the bag — in a “good morning, let’s go” kind of way. It’s rich and smooth, but not boozy or fake. Perfect for slow mornings, hungover Sundays, or that afternoon mug you pretend isn’t your third.

No joke: this stuff made us wish we had a second coffee pot in the office.
