Q: Why "bourbon barrel"?
The pepper is cracked from whole peppercorns aged in bourbon barrels. That's not branding fluff — it actually changes the flavor. More depth, less bite. Worth knowing.

Q: What does it taste like?
Smoky and peppery, with toasted onion and roasted garlic underneath. Savory, not sweet. Think "steakhouse rub that someone actually thought about."

Q: What's it good on?
Steaks and burgers, obviously. But also: eggs in the morning, meatloaf when you're feeling nostalgic, roasted vegetables when you're pretending to eat healthy, beef roasts when you have people over.

Q: Recommended use?
2 tablespoons per pound of meat. Season generously. Don't be shy about it.

Ingredients: Bourbon barrel pepper, applewood smoked sea salt, toasted onion, onion, roasted garlic, garlic.

No artificial anything
Shelf-stable, 12–24 months

Why We Love It

Most spice blends try to do too much. This one knows exactly what it is: a smoky, peppery, savory rub designed for serious beef moments. Six ingredients, nothing extra. The bourbon barrel aging on the pepper isn't a gimmick — it rounds out the heat and gives it something you can't get from a standard grind.

It's the kind of thing you start using on steaks and end up putting on everything. We say that in a good way.

Pairs with: A cast-iron skillet, a good bourbon on the side, and the kind of dinner that doesn't require a reservation.
